The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) carried out a public consultation to receive input from the scientific community and all interested parties on the EFSA draft Opinion on comparative in vitro metabolism studies. The draft opinion endorsed by the PPR Panel for public consultation on 23 June 2021, during its 111th plenary meeting. The public consultation for this document was open from 30 June 2021 until 25 August 2021. During this period, EFSA received contributions from five interested parties belonging to different sectors (e.g. industry associations, national authorities, and individual scientists). EFSA and its PPR Panel wish to thank all the stakeholders for their contributions. This report presents the comments received and addressed after consideration by the Working Group on Comparative In vitro Metabolism.
